OUR STORY

EJA MAGICAL JOURNEYS is our name. EZEKIEL/SOTU, Josh and Adrienne.
We present workshops, intensives, private consultations, travel with  groups to sacred sites for 'Beyond Magical' work to affect the species, create meditations and other tools designed to assist in the transformation of human consciousness. Our work is our passion....to constantly explore the edge of human possibility from within the set of linear time/space and from outside, in the non-local sea of possibilities. We are in awe of the crossroads humanity finds itself at and we dive into the fray of choice available now to help form the answer to the question..."Who are we going to be?"
 Josh and I are quite human, EZEKIEL/SOTU is not. This is our story of the early days, of how two neophytes moved and tumbled through the waves to find and work with beings of such wonder and surprising 'humanlike' heart and character, beings who are from outside our set of reality and are at every moment as close as breath. We live a miracle.
Josh and I met at the house of a woman who channeled a being called 'William'. She held monthly get togethers where those who attended could talk with 'William'. We explored metaphysics and felt a camaraderie of 'like-minded' folks. It was a real highlight for me having started years earlier with the mind expanding Seth material. I loved channeled energy. Josh also started with Seth. When we met he had just recently committed himself to a full time exploration of his spirituality. Seeking out a channel was natural for him after his connection to the Seth material. So we found each other as friends following a common path, once a month, in upstate NY.
During the several years of monthly meetings with 'William' I went from marriage, through divorce, to being on my own for the first time, to dating and exploring my belated adolescence. Josh explored the world of channeling by working more closely with our friend the channel. Having been a Seth fan and seeing Robert Butts' position as enviable, he took this opportunity to immerse himself in channeled information.
Finally, in 1990, we began a relationship and moved in together in Albany, NY. He created a New Age newspaper, I created spirit dolls, we traveled to the workshops of a well known channel together and lived a rather bumpy metaphysical dream. It was a dream replete with old personae, tape loops on relationship, personal agendas and baggage, living on credit cards, delusions and fantasies.
In 1992 we moved to rural Medusa, NY to have some Nature in our lives. It was bucolic splendor. However the newspaper folded, the credit cards crumbled and we clung stubbornly to our metaphysical knowledge that 'we create our reality 100%'. It was hard cheese to have so much potential and not be able to get off the ground around success and at times love. There were those moments when I think we were held together only by the dog, Ozzie. Neither of us was willing to give him up. Our lives were forcing us to dig deeper. Either make it work or give up the notion of creating our reality consciously.
Years earlier, in my first starry eyed explorations of things physic, spiritual, metaphysical, I had tried channeling. A dear friend, a Ouija Board and an attitude of wonder got me started. However not too far into the experience I became frightened. Part of my fear was the ease, part the unknown of who was out there in the ethers and part was the realization of how easily and subtly I could influence the information. Wisely, I stopped and chose to put my channeling connection into channeling the creative energy into my dolls and artwork.
But now we needed help. We held powerful metaphysical truths on the one hand and a life closing in with "reality" on the other, with a seemingly vast chasm between the two. We had incredibly peak experiences at the channeled workshops we attended, then returned to lives that didn't reflect any empowerment. Josh was driving taxi at night, I was working part time and living the life of a struggling artist, often surviving only through the graces of family financial assistance. It sucked. Try telling a bill collector that you create your own reality but it's not working at the moment.
One of the gifts of attending so many workshops that involved inner work was a building knowledge of and trust in the inner realms and my higher self. I was better at navigating the sub and unconscious in meditation than living my life. At my higher self's urging I tried channeling again in order to help us over the real life issues we were constantly dealing with between workshops. In meditation I set up parameters so that I would be safe in the process and most importantly if I was distorting the information the channeling would stop. I could now lean on my higher self to assist in the process. This was workable, we had a team.
The consciousness I channeled is called AUDREAM. We were in real need of help and her insights and perspectives were proving helpful. Something difficult to handle would come up and she would come through me offering deeper understandings of our motivations and desires. She gave us the up close and personal "how" of how we were creating our realities. I am a conscious channel, so both Josh and I heard and benefited from her insights. Each time we gained something from her presence. Even though she often presented us tough love, (both Josh and I can be quite stubborn), I always felt clearer, loved and more understanding of us both. Josh enjoyed being on the receiving end of these bigger picture insights. He got to be in Rob Butts' position.
A month or so into this process, AUDREAM suggested Josh could also channel. He began with a magician aspect of himself. Through communications with this aspect of himself he was able to uncover and work through the blockage he had around living a magical life. It was very cool. Now we could both channel and the peak experiences of workshops were beginning to translate into our lives at home.
Enter JHIRARD as the energy Josh channeled. Now we had a foursome. With JHIRARD and AUDREAM never far away we started what turned into a year or more of non-physical couples therapy. These two energies were with us vocally on a daily basis. We would start an old, destructive pattern of behavior and one of them would come forward, (yes they would just show up), to nudge, push, enlighten, guide or just plain kick us in the butt. They never told us what to do, they simply showed us our choices. And we usually, sometimes an hour or so later and sometimes begrudgingly, made the more loving choice. If we didn't the same type of situation would come around again and again until we made the growth choice. AUDREAM, JHIRARD and our own realities became an antidote to entropy. We learned it was easier to keep growing. It's very hard to blame, punish and judge your mate when you come to understand, through their lens, why they are doing what they're doing. It's even harder when that understanding comes through your own lips. This experience went both ways, we stopped being on the opposite sides of the fence. We came to know each other inside and out.
During this time Josh and I both experimented with channeling other consciousnesses. Devas, other planetary beings, and people who had passed on traveled through our living room. It was a rush. They each had their own take on things, they each added perspectives that were beyond ours and expanded ours. They each 'felt' different. We had tremendous fun and we were naive to the potential and responsibility of such talents.
Two events during this time led us to EZEKIEL. Josh was called in to channel one of his closest, lifelong friends who lay comatose after, what later proved to be, a fatal accident. He was to channel the friend to her daughter, a young woman who Josh had watched grow up from a toddler. The woman never regained consciousness, this was her last contact with her daughter. The session was profound and brought the depth of responsibility of his talent home to us.
The second event was his channeling of an oak tree spirit whose extremely high vibratory rate was not at all compatible with Josh's physical body. Josh is a big guy, this devic spirit was a high pitched energy. Josh went through three days of very uncomfortable detox. This experience didn't fit with the parameters we had set up with our higher selves around channeling. We were to always benefit spiritually, emotionally and physically when channeling.
So AUDREAM suggested that Josh use a gatekeeper- a consciousness who would mitigate the energy of other consciousnesses so as to provide Josh clarity and comfort. EZEKIEL was that gatekeeper.
I remember sitting on the couch, eager to meet this gatekeeper consciousness, when a booming voice came through. I felt as though my hair was blown straight back from my head as his presence filled the room, pressing at every wall and window. It took a few sessions for EZEKIEL to adjust his energy to Josh's vocal cords and language syntax. Who was this big, sparkling energy who came as an interdimensional liaison?
At first, he was "just" a gatekeeper. Then, at our our invitation, he began to assist us in understanding how and why we were creating our realities in the way we were. What a family we had become! Three dogs, three cats, numerous birds, spirit dolls, two people and three omni-present, non-physical consciousnesses. Our lives were not problem free but definitively magical. And we were changing, their help was really working....it was there to see that we did in fact create our reality consciously. So what was next? Well, to share the wealth of course!
We offered EZEKIEL to a group which regularly met to listen to and discuss tapes of channeled material. What a devastatingly painful evening that proved to be. People were confrontive. EZEKIEL was belligerent. We went home questioning , doubting and denying what had come to be the very fabric of our lives. AUDREAM came through and after much discussions to the whys and wherefores she suggested that Josh go unconscious while channeling EZEKIEL, and gave him a technique for doing so. You see the difficulty was an overzealous part of Josh had continued a line of discussion long after EZEKIEL wanted to let it go. Josh was not being clear enough- he felt he was coloring the information too much.
We've come to a greater understanding of the issue of clarity and channeling. All channels will color the information that comes through them, whether they are conscious or unconscious. The energy must travel from the unconscious through the channel's subconscious. If they have a great deal of belief systems or agendas in the way, that coloration can move to the point of distortion. One of our parameters for channeling was that the information always be clear enough, in other words not distorted from the original intent of the consciousness being channeled. Very often, and particularly in the case of channels who work for a long while with a particular being, there is a choice made on the part of the being to use this particular channel. Like choosing a violin, the being chooses the coloration of the channel as an instrument to shape and assist in the many levels of communication. I guess you might say the medium is part of the message. In working with channels discernment is extremely valuable, distortion is out there as well as coloration. In our case EZEKIEL has often said that he chose Josh in part because of his flexible belief systems. Their choice to work together in this way was a prelife agreement and paradoxically Josh had to make all these choices to get to this point of working with EZEKIEL.
With Josh's choice to not be present when he channeled EZEKIEL came a clearer experience of EZEKIEL. His help became even more profound and impactful. Josh and I continued with our inner work with our higher selves and continued to attend workshops. Everything we cleaned up personally helped both of us to be better at channeling. The depth of the information would then improve which in turn assisted us in changing what we needed to change. It became a spiral of growth which reflected into our entire life. Everything became connected, or let's say the connectedness of everything became more apparent.
Our confidence returned and once again we offered EZEKIEL to others. This time the results were favorable. A circle of people from north of Boston started to regularly call for consultations. We were not alone and perhaps not so crazy after all. These people were being helped by EZEKIEL and the reflections of their lives were showing the results. So we decided to travel to the Boston area to present a workshop and get together with these folks.
It's quite one thing to offer individual readings and quite another to present a workshop. What would EZEKIEL say- what would it be like? EZEKIEL worked with me both in and out of meditation to create a meditation for healing hurt. As I came out of meditation I wondered if this was real, I questioned him in conversation. The trust I have of EZEKIEL, of the process of channeling, of creating and presenting workshops has been a step by step process. We were making a big step by going so public and standing only on the validity of our experience. I was scared. Josh and EZEKIEL put the finishing touches on the meditation. We had something to present, a form, a meditation and a workshop on hurt....and no idea of the journey we'd begun. The Rose Garden Meditation was born.....it has helped thousands to heal their wounds since, it is a gift and a treasure.
We set out on the road-hopeful and terrified. That first workshop was in a beautiful room that one of the clients used for her healing practice. So many people came- 10 or 12. The session started, people spoke with EZEKIEL and I wondered, deeply, fearfully, is this real? Afterwards there were positive responses and a few negative. We'd survived. EZEKIEL was and is a truthful consciousness, always willing to break through the stories we tell ourselves and others. Parts of ourselves don't like this and are invested in our delusions. Folks have been known to walk out. It took me many workshops and much growth in the area of trust to accept this as part of the territory. I realized that it was not EZEKIEL's purpose to please people or remind them of the everpresent love. He offers the truth and opportunities to grow, comfort is not a prerequisite.
Thus began our first series of workshops, monthly presentations each including discussion time with EZEKIEL and a new meditation that any or all of the four of us had a hand in creating. We had no idea that these workshops were intricately linked so as to form a whole. These initial 3 hour separate workshops have all become the "BIRTH OF YOUR REAL SELF" INTENSIVE which we present over an evening and 4 full days. The workshops and later the intensive have been presented many, many times now. During these presentations our confidence and levels of trust as well as the complexity of the workshops have increased dramatically. With each presentation EZEKIEL takes the work deeper, adding new information so the workshops although built around a constant form and dynamic are never the same.
During these early years we traveled quite a bit either to present workshops or in connection with my artwork. AUDREAM, JHIRARD and EZEKIEL were never far away. Over time, in bits and pieces, they gave us information around our speciel history. We would work with the repercussions of any given speciel dynamic in our own process. We could begin to see, with their assistance, the seeds of chauvinism and how they related to the world and more importantly to us and our relationship. Here in our own lives we could make different choices. The choice to keep growing rather than settle had reached to the speciel dynamic.
This plays out for all because there is no time. The wounding that happened to the entire species and the resultant seeming separation from each other, Nature and Spirit still plays into all we do. Usually it is overlooked as people either accept it as 'the way things are' or they only focus on their personal baggage. Because we started to work with the speciel level that information began to work into our presentations. I can now see what an important part of the workshops this information is. All time is happening now; our time in the Garden with it's set of Nature based human dynamics, our time of wounding, pain and separation, and our time in the structures of chauvinism with it's set of hierarchal dynamics. Without working on the speciel level it's difficult to escape any of these dynamics to move to the adulthood of our species where we remember and live our Divine Nature.
Needless to say it was an exciting time. We 'd be on a drive to say Pennsylvania to a collectable doll store to sell my work. Either AUDREAM or EZEKIEL would come forward to drop in a piece of the speciel dynamic. All the way there and back we'd talk about it or see it reflected everywhere we went. It was a time of revelations....and sometimes when we just couldn't or wouldn't get past a destructive behavior we'd switch to the speciel lens and it would make sense. Not that we wished it to continue. In response to this increasing awareness the meditations that were being created spoke to healing the speciel level as well as the individual. This has been one of the most exciting parts of our work for me, to understand the bigger picture of speciel progress as well as to see myself and others grow individually. Ultimately you can't have one without the other.
During this time Josh and I also got to explore the landscape of interaction with EZEKIEL's clients. There is a palpable energy of love and acceptance for us and others with the channeling. We made mistakes in the beginning around the easy confusion of us with EZEKIEL or AUDREAM. We, as well as participants, would be bowled over by the love after sessions. It has taken time but we've learned about boundaries.
My work with AUDREAM moved to the background. I don't like going unconscious, partly due to fear and partly due to my curiosity to hear what was being said. After a couple of workshops she and I presented we backed off. Her participation seems to be best in working with myself, Josh and occasionally with folks in the DIVINITY groups. Her focus is on the larger energetic dynamics. She has also provided us with certain articles which will be available on this site in the library. EZEKIEL is much better at interactions with the public.
The work that EZEKIEL does with people is profound, be it private or in group. I've watched enough sessions, and had enough one on one with EZEKIEL to know that he doesn't utter a sound, hum a tune or make a gesture without it having meaning for someone in the group or some part of self if working privately. Not a single utterance. This is how profoundly he works. Josh and I however are quite human with the requisite foibles, light and dark aspects, strengths and insecurities. We would come to workshops and encounter the material the same as everyone else. Josh grows by the act of channeling and when we present new material he experiences it the same as everyone else, even though he's not conscious. It is an elegant way to grow, but it's challenging at times as he returns from a session feeling and being different and not quite knowing how. EZEKIEL doesn't give us an outline or overview, we are all involved in the moment of the alive co-creation. By Josh going unconscious there is more delineation for folks between EZEKIEL and Josh. This helps all. Private readings are taped and sent to the client. Josh always has an emotional awareness of the experience when he returns from channeling. If questioned within a few minutes of the session he can have remembrances of what transpired, these come to him very much like gestalts. On very rare occasions EZEKIEL will keep Josh conscious for a particular purpose that might involve Josh's safety.
Thus the journey has wound through our growth and increasing levels of awareness and empowerment. We now present three foundational intensives: the BIRTH OF YOUR REAL SELF- for healing childhood issues while learning the speciel history and healing the 'Garden' part of ourselves, the ULTIMATE INTENSIVE - for healing the adolescent parts of self while moving beyond the confinements of the chauvinism, and IN PURSUIT OF PASSION- an intensive for replacing the old motivation of fear with the safe experience of Passion as our new fuel. Presentations also include evenings or afternoons as well as one day workshops to interact with EZEKIEL and work on specific areas. As consciousness expands there will always be more, thankfully always more.
In November of 2000 we traveled with EZEKIEL and AUDREAM and a group of intrepid metaphysicians to EGYPT. We were leading the first of many groups, it was time to briefly touch and work with the energy of powerfull sites. If you had told us six months earlier we'd be standing at the foot of the Great Pyramid, we'd have fallen over laughing. Wow, hard to capture the power and excitement of working with EZEKIEL on site, in the places that still hold and transmit the energy of the turning points in speciel history. It was an opportunity to reach in up to our shoulders, into the well that is our speciel dynamic and to taste the waters and then to add our focused direction of human transformation. EGYPT, the land that holds the energy of the true Masculine, the Garden and a mirror into forgotten pieces of ourselves, is outside the set of time. Thus started an ongoing odyssey of once a year journeys to sacred sites about the world. These Intensives, touching the stones of temples and walls, are the icing on the cake each year. We are continually having our socks knocked off by the revealations, understandings and the puzzle really starting to take shape as each year we add a piece.
In October of 2001 we traveled to GREECE again to work at sacred sites to heal and release the dynamic, empowered true Feminine. Adventurers found this experience with EZEKIEL, who has described himself as a servant of the GODDESS, intense, liberating and life changing. In the summer of 2002 we toured Europe in Search of the Black Madonna to claim the shadow side of the feminine and reconnect with the energy of Gaia. In 2003 we traveled to Mexico to commence deep healing of the divided Feminine ( played out by men a & women a the true Masculine energy is tucked away ). 2004 found us panting our way up to the lofty heights of Peru and Bolivia, practically soaring off of Machu Picchu. 2005 brought us a gentle and inspiring journey to the bit of land called Malta, a Goddess civilization as ancient as any, in the Mediterranean. We had the time and space to touch the new dream the Goddess is dreaming for our planet... and to assist in dreaming it into reality. Finally, in 2006, we stepped beyond the airports of England, where we had changed planes for Greece, Brussels or Malta, to step into the love and nurture expressed and celebrated by stones and cairns, mounds and rings. This journey filled hearts to overflowing across England, Wales and Scotland. Each year we explore a new area and take the opportunity to step outside of time and put our hands into the bigger picture. Join us and never be the same, knowing you fulfilled part of your destiny to make a real difference.
After all these years together.... workshops, discussions over morning coffee, tear stained tissues, couch conversations, figurative boots to my butt as I argue for my limitations, whispers as we stand at the foot of the Great Pyramid, and always handing my power back to me, you'd think I could tell you who EZEKIEL is. Beyond the unconditional love that comes without judgment, beyond the unflinching ability to withstand stubbornness, weakness, foibles, dark and light shadows, stands EZEKIEL always asking us, offering us the opportunity, to be more. Therein lies the promise, the challenge, the hope and the destiny for us all.....there's always more. EZEKIEL travels the path with us, a half step ahead, to stretch our reality thresholds. It has been and promises to continue to be the great, as he would say, unenfoldment.

Summer of 2001, famous last words in regards to not knowing who EZEKIEL is. We have understood Soul to be that part of us which always urges us to be more. Now EZEKIEL has revealed who they are...and we are just getting used to having the Soul of the Universe (SOTU) as a regular visitor. SOTU says they are not our individual Souls, but that aspect of the Divine that urges growth in the physical universe. Their job description is the urge our Souls, who in turn urge us. SOTU describes EZEKIEL as one of their fully integrated aspects. They informed us that others will also be channeling EZEKIEL, as we've found there are other channels for EZEKIEL now, in order to reach more people . SOTU however will only channel through Josh. SOTU has also explained that Soul is both our closed connection to the Divine and our most challenging connection. Perhaps it's taken this long to be ready to hear those words without putting EZEKIEL/SOTU on a pedestal.
They have certainly always been everything from a coaxer to a cosmic kick in the butt......or but. Now I understand how as we each change, humanity and our world reflections change. Our transformation must have implications and reverberations out into the Universe, we are all one cosmic family after all. Summer finds us wrapping ourselves around the responsibility and wonder of this latest unenfoldment. We keep moving....in pursuit of Soul, in the quest to always be more.
